Elaine Bissonette

Receptionist

Elaine Bissonnette, also known as Red Wolf Woman, is a proud member of the Cree Nation from Big River, Saskatchewan. She serves as a receptionist at Metro Vancouver Aboriginal Executive Council (MVAEC) and Slaxin Lelum Medicine House previously known as Metro Vancouver Indigenous Service Society (MVISS), where she finds great fulfillment in meeting community members where they’re at and assisting them in accessing both internal and external services.

Elaine is inspired by the amazing staff she works with, who provide hope, confidence, and a willingness to heal the people they serve. Her teachings come from the guidance of her aunt, numerous Elders she’s had the privilege of working with, and her co-workers. Elaine holds deep values of empathy, compassion, and kindness for all people and animals, and her family is her greatest source of strength.

Clients can expect to discover a caring, supportive, and deeply compassionate person who is committed to helping others on their healing journeys.
